Poll: Biden Up 23 Points Among Women, Best Margin for Any Presidential Candidate Since 1976
A new ABC News/Washington Post poll released early Sunday shows Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden leading President Donald Trump nationwide by 12 points.
The race stands at 53% to 41% among registered voters, with Biden deriving high levels of support from women and moderates.
The former vice president is up 59% to 36% among women, which is the widest margin for any presidential candidate in exit polls in 44 years. Meanwhile, only 25% of respondents who identified as moderate said they would vote for Trump, while 69% said they would choose Biden.
Additionally, the race is tied among men, a group Trump won in 2016.
