Trump Asks ‘How Are Your 409K’s Doing?’ in Stock Market Tweet
President Donald Trump tried to brag about the stock market on Thursday but managed to make an obvious error when referring to pension accounts. In one of his many tweets about the stock market, Trump made a typo that rendered the message meaningless.
“STOCK MARKET AT ALL-TIME HIGH! HOW ARE YOUR 409K’S DOING? 70%, 80%, 90% up? Only 50% up! What are you doing wrong?” he tweeted.
What Trump was doing wrong was attempting to discuss 401(k) pension accounts but somehow rendering the term as ‘409k’s’ – a combination of numbers and letters that doesn’t actually relate to anything, let alone an actual financial product.
While his supporters and what could be bot accounts were quick to agree and praise the President, it wasn’t long before he faced mockery and criticism, with some even joking that the term ‘409k’ would soon find its’ way into the lexicon of the QAnon conspiracy theory.
The tweet was still live at the time of writing.
