Trump Attacks Joe Biden as U.S. Embassy in Baghdad Is Evacuated
The U.S. embassy in Baghdad is still under attack this morning as angry Iraqis vent their fury following airstrikes against an Iranian-backed militia. But the President Donald Trump took to twitter to address another matter: the impeachment trial and Joe Biden.
“The Democrats will do anything to avoid a trial in the Senate in order to protect Sleepy Joe Biden, and expose the millions and millions of dollars that ‘Where’s’ Hunter, & possibly Joe, were paid by companies and countries for doing NOTHING. Joe wants no part of this mess!” Trump tweeted.

While Trump was tweeting about Biden, the attack on the Baghdad embassy was ongoing. New reports continue to come in about the attempt to storm the embassy, which can easily be considered a serious crisis. No deaths have been reported but most of the embassy staff, including the ambassador, have been evacuated.

Trump will have been briefed on the situation but he’s chosen to make his first tweet of the day about Joe Biden and not the attack on an American embassy. It remains to be seen what Trump will say about the event, which is still taking place.
