Corey Lewandowksi Won’t Run for the Senate Even Though He’s ‘Certain’ He’d Win
Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has announced he will not run for seat in the U.S. senate, despite the fact he says he would win if he ran. Lewandowski made the announcement on Twitter on the last day of the year.
“After much consideration I have decided to forgo a campaign for the US Senate,” Lewandowski said. “While taking on a career politician from the Washington swamp is a tall order, I am certain I would have won. My priorities remain my family and ensuring that [Donald Trump] is re-elected POTUS.”

Whether Lewandowski would have won in New Hampshire is a matter of dispute, but now the public won’t find out. The senator up for election in 2020 is Democrat Jeanne Shaheen, who has held the post since 2009 and won’t be easy to beat.
Lewandowski shared his thoughts on the Republican nominee, however.
“NH needs a US Senator who will put our citizens first and not illegal aliens; one who will support pro-growth policies to keep the Trump economy strong,” he said.
