Cory Booker: It’s ‘Insulting’ and Biden’s ‘Missing the Larger Point’ By Asking Me to Apologize
During a CNN appearance Wednesday night, Democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker responded to former Vice President Joe Biden, who hours earlier blasted the New Jersey senator after Booker called on him to apologize over comments he made about segregationist senators.
“So for his posture to be to me ‘I’ve done nothing wrong, you should apologize, I’m not a racist’ is so insulting and so missing the larger point that he should not have to have explained to him,” Booker stated. “This should not be a lesson that somebody running for the President of the United States should have to be given.”
