UN Erupts In Laughter After Trump Says He’s Done More Than ‘Almost Any Administration’ In History

"Didn't expect that reaction but that's OK," Trump responded.

At the beginning of his speech before the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, President Donald Trump elicited laughter from the gathered delegates and ambassadors when he claimed that he has accomplished more than any other president in the history of the United States.

“One year ago, I stood before you for the first time in this grand hall,” the president said. “I addressed the threats facing our world. and I presented a vision to achieve a brighter future for all of humanity. Today, I stand before the United Nations General Assembly to share the extraordinary progress we’ve made.”

Trump boasted, “In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”

With that, laughter raised up in the room as the president punctuated his statement with “so true.” The audience continued to chuckle as Trump attempted to brush off the general assembly’s response to his declaration.

“I didn’t expect that reaction but that’s OK,” Trump said before continuing on with his speech in which he bragged about his administration’s domestic accomplishments.
