Donald Trump Attacks Intelligence Community And Hillary Clinton In Morning Twitter Tirade
President-elect Donald Trump has attacked the US intelligence community on Twitter yet again. In a flurry of early morning tweets, Trump defended himself from allegations in an unverified dossier about potential Russian ties to his campaign. He also took a swipe at his Democratic presidential opponent, Hillary Clinton.
“It now turns out that the phony allegations against me were put together by my political opponents and a failed spy afraid of being sued,” Trump tweeted. “Totally made up facts by sleazebag political operatives, both Democrats and Republicans – FAKE NEWS! Russia says nothing exists. Probably released by ‘Intelligence’ even knowing there is no proof, and never will be. My people will have a full report on hacking within 90 days!”
Trump previously claimed he would release new information on hacking that nobody else knows but he failed to do so. His first press conference since the election saw him wave away claims made in the Russian dossier and get into a verbal argument with a CNN reporter when he called CNN ‘fake news.’
“What are Hillary Clinton’s people complaining about with respect to the FBI based on the information they had she should never have been allowed to run – guilty as hell,” Trump tweeted. “They were VERY nice to her. She lost because she campaigned in the wrong states – no enthusiasm!”
Trump’s decision to attack Clinton yet again is out of place for a victorious presidential candidate. Trump continues to criticize Clinton in public and refers to her ‘corruption’ when trying to distract from issues surrounding his own ethics problems.
