Mark Steyn Offers To ‘Rent’ Tucker Carlson A ‘Pregnant Illegal Alien’

Whenever Fox News host Tucker Carlson and frequent guest/lover of white supremacist novels Mark Steyn get together, you can pretty much guarantee you are going to hear some fearmongering about brown and black immigrants combined with sneering jokes and one-liners. Having said that, Monday night’s segment was still eye-opening in its over-the-top xenophobia and cultural insensitivity.

Discussing the viral story of an undocumented immigrant being arrested by ICE while he drove his pregnant wife to deliver their baby, Carlson snarked that the Democratic vice-presidential 2020 nominee should be “an illegal alien accused of murder.” (ICE claims that the man was detained because he has a murder warrant in Mexico.)

“That’s kind of the perfect distillation of what the party stands for right now I would say,” Tucker added.

“I think that’s absolutely right,” Steyn responded. “By the way, for those red light tickets of yours, I’m willing to rent you a pregnant illegal alien to sit in the passenger seat as you drive around Washington, D.C.”

He continued, “I bring 200 of them across the border, they are doing the jobs that Americans won’t do, which is sitting in the passenger seat with you to serve as your pregnant passenger as you go around holding up liquor stores and all the rest. You know it makes sense.”

After the two complained about how CBS News originally covered the story and didn’t mention ICE’s claim of a murder warrant until later, Steyn pivoted to expressing discontent over the changing demographics of parts of America — something he’s done before on Tucker’s show.

“This couple have been illegal in the United States for 12 years and they have five children,” the conservative commentator declared. “So simply if you are playing the odds you’ve got roughly — whenever you pull them over you’ve got roughly a 50/50 chance them being pregnant. that’s actually very demographically revealing of where California is headed.”

Steyn went on, “Two people who shouldn’t be in the country nevertheless had five anchor babies in a country where the fertility rate is 1.75 children per couple. So actually this is California’s future and it is actually a snapshot of where this insane sentimentalization of public policy has got us. When they say she is living a nightmare, she is living a dream.

And he finished his rant with this: “She’s been here for 12 years, had five children at public expense, that your viewers – assuming for the sake of argument that there are any legitimate U.S. Citizens and lawful residents remaining in the country – that your viewers have paid for. So that’s the nightmare she is living. She’s had five children at public expense, married to an illegal husband who apparently works for a company that makes bouncy castles for children’s parties, and actually, the only people who need bouncy castles for children’s parties are families like this one, which have had five anchor babies.”

As much heat as Fox News host Laura Ingraham took over her “massive demographic changes” monologue when she lamented legal and illegal immigration changing America to something unrecognizable, this from Steyn was far more toxic and virulent.
