There’s A New Donald Trump Fish Restaurant – In Northern Iraq

There’s a brand new Donald Trump themed restaurant in Kurdistan, Iraq. The restaurant was opened by a Trump fan in the Kurdish controlled part of the battle scarred country. Some Kurds are hopeful that Trump will improve their lives and help the fight against Islamic State.

‘Trump Fish’ has opened in the town of Dohuk and features as its sign an unflattering illustration of Donald Trump and a fish that is presumably the main dish the restaurant serves. The new eatery is obviously not an approved Trump brand.

The restaurant’s owner, Naydar Zawiti, says he is a fan of Donald Trump and he hopes Trump’s rhetoric against ISIS will transform into action. Kurds in Iraq have been leading the fight against the Islamic terror group and also carving out territory for themselves. Kurdish Peshmerga have been key to resisting ISIS.

“What I admire about Trump’s personality,” Zawiti says. “It’s that he’s decisive, he’s tough, and hopefully with that toughness he’ll finish ISIS.”

Zawiti’s restaurant sells traditional Iraqi Kurdish food, something Donald Trump and his American supporters might find an odd juxtaposition with the anti-Islamic advisers he has appointed to key positions, including :t. Gen. Mike Flynn, who doesn’t consider Islam a religion.
