Ted Cruz Says ‘Hellboy’ Actor Ron Perlman Is ‘Scared to Wrestle’ Jim Jordan
Republican Senator Ted Cruz has escalated his Twitter feud with Hellboy actor Ron Perlman. Cruz tweeted early on Monday morning claiming the actor was afraid to wrestle Republican Congressman Jim Jordan. The bizarre spat has made headlines.
“I get it, you’re rich. But, apparently, soft,” Cruz said. “You sure seem scared to wrestle Jordan (whom you keep insulting). Can’t take the heat? Need to get a manicure?”

Cruz’s tweet is part of an ongoing online argument between the men. Perlman pointed out earlier on Monday that Rep. Jordan and wrestling was questionable – he’s referencing reports that Jordan knew about an abusive doctor working with the wrestling team at Ohio State.
“I tell you what teddy boy, since mentioning jim jordan and wrestling is… problematic, why don’t we say fuck him and just make it you & me,” Perlman said.

The very public insults between Cruz and Perlman look likely to continue for another day. The issue seems to have begun on Sunday when Perlman said Jordan was the only politician uglier than Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz. Cruz weighed in and the chain of tweets started. Perlman had previously been sparring with Gaetz.
