George Conway Reminds Rudy Giuliani of his Miranda Rights: ‘We Know You’re Not in Custody (Yet)’

Conservative lawyer and Trump critic George Conway has reminded Rudy Giuliani of his Miranda Rights in the event that he’s arrested. Conway tagged the former New York mayor in a tweet that features a list of the rights people can invoke when they’re placed under arrest.

“We know you’re not in custody (yet), but you may find nos. 1, 2, and 5 below highly advisable nonetheless,” Conway said. Conway was referring to the right to remain silent, the fact that anything Giuliani says can be used against him in court and his right to exercise the Miranda Rights at any time.

He was responding to comments Giuliani made about former National Security Advisor John Bolton. Bolton reportedly described Giuliani as a ‘hand grenade‘ and disavowed Giuliani’s actions in Ukraine as a ‘drug deal’.

Giuliani’s ties to two Soviet-born businessmen, who were arrested last week on charges of campaign finance violations, are the subject of investigation, while his role in the Ukraine whistleblower scandal is also be scrutinized.
