Scott Walker Gets Called Out on Twitter for Posting Old Photo While Claiming to Have Eaten Out Saturday Night

Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker claimed Saturday night on Twitter that he ate at a pizza restaurant in Milwaukee.
“We have to support our local restaurants and small businesses!” he wrote alongside an oddly zoomed-in picture of a pizza.
Great pizza tonight at San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana. We have to support our local restaurants and small businesses! pic.twitter.com/uvMityyraH

Shortly thereafter, it was pointed out on Twitter by a user named IFNAlphaMale that Walker had posted a photograph of the exact same pizza, drinks and utensil arrangement in October 2019.
Damn, it’s crazy that the pizza and table are identical to this photo from 2019 https://t.co/AP1bHOix9k

Several others mocked Walker’s tweet.
I’ve seen the future and it’s you posting this again in a year like a lunatic

Was Walker actually at San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana? “I used an old photo since we didn’t take one last night,” Walker wrote in a follow-up tweet on Sunday.
But why not just tweet that he was there without including a photograph at all? The cropping of the year-old picture has only lead many to suspect that he was not living up to his pledge. Plus, he only made a clarification after the picture’s origin was revealed.
