Fox’s Jennifer Griffin Says Trump Is ‘One of the Biggest Anonymous Sources’
In an interview with Mediaite, Fox News national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin criticized President Trump’s attitude toward anonymous sources, accusing the president of “complete hypocrisy” on the issue.
Trump demanded that Griffin be fired after she was able to independently confirm key details in a story in The Atlantic about Trump calling American war dead “suckers.”

Griffin explained that although having people go on record is preferable, “there are a variety of reasons right now, particularly under this administration, that anonymous sources are needed.”
“One of the biggest anonymous sources for the White House press corps is President Trump himself, and the people around him are often the anonymous sources that you hear them talk about at the White House,” Griffin added. “So it’s completely hypocritical. People are picking and choosing when they want to hear from anonymous sources.”
