Biden, Who’s Now Receiving Intelligence Briefings, Warns of Russian Election Meddling

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden warned about Russian interference in the upcoming election, based on intelligence briefings he is receiving.

“We know from before and I guarantee you I know now because now I get briefings again — the Russians are still engaged in trying to delegitimize our electoral process,” Biden said during a fundraiser, according to Bloomberg.

“China and others are engaged as well in activities designed for us to lose confidence in the outcome,” he added.

A Biden campaign spokesperson told the outlet that the former vice president also hears advice from a team of national security experts.

President Trump, meanwhile, has reportedly chosen not to read the Presidential Daily Brief, instead opting for occasional verbal briefings. During the 2016 campaign he welcomed Russian aid to find politically damaging material on Hillary Clinton.
