Trump Retweets Conspiracy Theory That Doctors Are Lying About Coronavirus to Hurt Him
President Donald Trump has shared a tweet promoting a conspiracy theory that medical professionals are lying about Covid-19 to damage his reelection chances. Trump retweeted the claim from Chuck Woolery, a retired game show host.
“The most outrageous lies are the ones about Covid 19. Everyone is lying,” Woolery wrote.
The most outrageous lies are the ones about Covid 19. Everyone is lying. The CDC, Media, Democrats, our Doctors, not all but most ,that we are told to trust. I think it's all about the election and keeping the economy from coming back, which is about the election. I'm sick of it.

“The CDC, Media, Democrats, our Doctors, not all but most ,that we are told to trust. I think it’s all about the election and keeping the economy from coming back, which is about the election. I’m sick of it.”
The President shared this tweet without comment but later shared another of Woolery’s missives. This comes as the White House attempts to discredit Dr. Anthony Fauci and Trump is demanding schools reopen while downplaying the virus.
Woolery, who once hosted Wheel of Fortune, has a history of questionable and controversial statements on Twitter, though this is not the fist time President Trump has retweeted someone with a similar background in inflammatory comments.
