Trump Falsely Accuses Obama of ‘Biggest Political Crime in American History’
President Donald Trump went on a tweeting spree on Sunday and accused former President Barack Obama of plotting against him. Trump retweeted a message accusing Obama of conspiring to sabotage his administration before he took office.
“The biggest political crime in American history, by far!” Trump wrote in response to radio hos Buck Sexton.

Sexton had written: “If you read a news story about some European country where, after a fair election, the outgoing president used his last weeks in office to target incoming officials and sabotage the new administration, you’d be appalled.”
“It happened here, and half the country thinks it was fine.”
It hardly needs to be stated that this is an unfounded conspiracy theory but the idea has been promoted among pro-Trump activists and social media accounts for some time. Those who dismissed Robert Mueller’s Russia probe as a ‘hoax’ have often – wrongly – linked it to an Obama plot.
Trump sent several other tweets mentioning ‘Obamagate’ and supporting the idea that the former president was behind a plot against him. He also recently claimed former Vice President Joe Biden was involved in some way. Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee.
