Cory Booker Endorses Joe Biden: ‘He’ll Restore Honor to the Oval Office’
Senator Cory Booker has formally endorsed former Vice President Bernie Sanders for president. Booker is the latest former Democratic candidate to publicly endorse Biden. Booker dropped out of the race for his party’s nomination in January.
“The answer to hatred & division is to reignite our spirit of common purpose,” Booker tweeted.
“Joe Biden won’t only win – he’ll show there’s more that unites us than divides us,” Booker said. “He’ll restore honor to the Oval Office and tackle our most pressing challenges.”
“That’s why I’m proud to endorse Joe,” the senator said.
“He will lead the Democratic Party to victory in races up and down the ballot across the country this November,” Booker added in a message to his supporters.
“Because Joe Biden understands that beating Donald Trump is the floor, it is not the ceiling.”
Booker has been spoken about for a possible role in any Biden administration, but it is far too early in the process for anything to have been decided.
