Nikki Haley on Sanders’ Victories: ‘Unthinkable’ That We Could Give Up Freedoms ‘Our Veterans Fought and Died for’

Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has suggested that Senator Bernie Sanders is a threat to Americans’ freedoms. The former South Carolina governor made the claim on Twitter following the Democratic presidential candidate’s victories in Iowa and New Hampshire.

“It is amazing that a liberal socialist won in Iowa and New Hampshire,” Haley said.

“The idea that we would give up the freedoms our veterans fought and died for is unthinkable. Other countries have to be scratching their heads wondering what we are thinking.”

Haley is just repeating conservative talking points about Sanders and the ‘threat’ of his brand of socialism. Haley has remained loyal to the Trump administration and many believe she’s positioning herself for a future run at the White House.

Not everyone was impressed by her rhetoric, however.
