Lev Parnas Named His Company Fraud Guarantee to Change Google Search Results for His Name and ‘Fraud’
Lev Parnas, one of the men arrested on campaign finance charges and who’s involved in Rudy Giuliani’s alleged attempt to dig up dirt on Joe Biden in Ukraine, set up a company with an unusual name: Fraud Guarantee. The name was quickly noticed by those reporting on Parnas’ arrest.
Now, a new report from the Wall Street Journal claims that Parnas named the company Fraud Guarantee to alter Google search results for his name and the word ‘fraud’ so that those results would be more positive. The WSJ‘s Rebecca Ballhaus shared the nugget on Twitter.
“Why Lev Parnas gave his company the somewhat questionable name of Fraud Guarantee: It was in part to clean up his Google search results, ensuring that the word ‘fraud’ and his own name would be paired in a positive light,” Ballhaus said.

Parnas, along with Igor Fruman, allegedly helped Giuliani make contacts in Ukraine as he investigated unfounded allegations against Biden. Fraud Guarantee appears to be a dummy company set up with the intention of defrauding the FEC and funnelling foreign money into U.S. political campaigns.
