President Trump Defends Hope Hicks During Congressional Testimony: Democrats Are Putting Her ‘Through Hell’
President Trump went to bat for his former advisor, Hope Hicks, as she spent a few hours on Wednesday testifying behind closed doors to the House Judiciary Committee investigating the administration:
So sad that the Democrats are putting wonderful Hope Hicks through hell, for 3 years now, after total exoneration by Robert Mueller & the Mueller Report. They were unhappy with result so they want a Do Over. Very unfair & costly to her. Will it ever end? Why aren’t they…….

….asking Hillary Clinton why she deleted and acid washed her Emails AFTER getting a subpoena from Congress? Anybody else would be in jail for that, yet the Dems refuse to even bring it up. Rigged House Committee

There is an easy way to end the alleged hell that Democrats have put Hicks through, and that would be for Trump to not invoke executive privilege so his one-time aide could answer completely all the questions put to her by the committee.
But administration lawyers in the hearing Wednesday did just that, claiming “executive immunity” for Hicks even though she no longer works in the White House.
This move only inflamed Democrats, who will now consider taking Hicks to court and asking a judge to force her to answer their questions.
Barring a change of tactics by Trump, Hicks’ “hell” is likely to continue indefinitely.
