Watch: Seth Meyers Imagines Trump Taking Out Bin Laden ‘Swinging A Rake Like It’s A Sword’

Meyers was not impressed by Trump's comments on the bin Laden raid

Seth Meyers mocked President Donald Trump last night for his comments on the admiral who led the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. In an interview, Trump criticized Admiral William McRaven and said it would have been better if they’d found bin Laden sooner.

“The president is a conspiracy theorist who makes up cartoonish lies about everything from wildfires to immigration,” Meyers said. “And when you call him out, he attacks you. Take retired Admiral William McRaven, a Navy SEAL who oversaw the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.”

Trump was giving an interview to Fox News’ Chris Wallace when he called a McRaven a fan of Hillary Clinton and complained about how long it took to find bin Laden sooner. He was the most wanted man in the world.

“You’re attacking him for not getting bin Laden sooner?” Meyers asked. “Oh, because I could totally see you charging in there in your hat and your windbreaker swinging a rake like it’s a sword.”

Elsewhere in the interview with Fox News, Trump joked about bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan, saying he had seen nicer mansions.

“You can make this idiot a president and everything still comes back to real estate,” the Late Night host said.

“Only Donald Trump could make himself feel better by implying that he has a nicer house than Osama bin Laden,” Meyers said. “You know, people make fun of my hair, but it’s much nicer than the Unabomber’s.”
