Trump Accuses Democrats Of Creating A ‘Massive Child Smuggling Industry’
A day after he signed an executive order that would allow asylum-seeking migrant families to stay together in federal custody while awaiting prosecution for illegal border crossing, President Donald Trump accused Democrats of not only being “open-border extremists” but also claimed the Democratic Party has aided human smugglers and traffickers.
Speaking at a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, an angry and frankly unhinged Trump railed against the past administration and current Democratic leaders, blaming them for creating an “illegal immigration crisis.”
“That’s what they are, extremist, open-border Democrats,” he snarled. “You’ll see tapes of unguarded borders. If people penetrate our borders, we must get them out of our country. All of a sudden it’s a big con job and in the meantime, our people are suffering because of the Democrats.”
Then he tossed this out.
“They created, and they have let it happen, a massive child smuggling industry,” Trump growled. “The human traffickers are making a fortune. It’s a disgrace.”
He went on to complain about the “loopholes” that allow for “catch and release” before claiming that America’s immigration laws “are the worst in the history of the world.”
