Trump Defends Golf as ‘Exercise’, Then Slams Obama for Golfing

President Donald Trump defended going to the golf course over the weekend by claiming he was taking exercise, but then pivoted to attacking former President Barack Obama for golfing while in office. Trump also took aim at former Vice President Joe Biden.

“Sleepy Joe’s representatives have just put out an ad saying that I went to play golf (exercise) today,” Trump tweeted.

“They think I should stay in the White House at all times.”

“What they didn’t say is that it’s the first time I’ve played golf in almost 3 months, that Biden was constantly vacationing, relaxing & making shady deals with other countries, & that Barack was always playing golf, doing much of his traveling in a fume spewing 747 to play golf in Hawaii.”

“Once even teeing off immediately after announcing the gruesome death of a great young man by ISIS!” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s accusations against Obama and Biden aren’t new. Conservatives frequently attacked Obama for golfing too much, though that has been a non-issue for Republican supporters of President Trump. The President is again alleging that Biden committed illegal acts. There is no evidence of this.
