‘This Is Actual Collusion!’ Chuck Todd Blows Up Over Report That DOJ Briefed Trump on Mueller Report

MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd blew up over the revelation that the Department of Justice had briefed the White House several times about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report prior to its release on Thursday, calling it “actual collusion.”

The New York Times reported on Wednesday afternoon that “Justice Department officials have had numerous conversations with White House lawyers about the conclusions made by Mr. Mueller, the special counsel,” noting that the details provided have “aided the president’s legal team as it prepares a rebuttal to the report and strategizes for the coming public war over its findings.”

“I don’t Know what you want to call it,” Todd exclaimed during an MTP Daily panel discussion on Wednesday. “Shamelessness, hubris, whatever it is.”

After Todd wondered where all the House Republicans were who lost their minds over President Obama saying “it doesn’t look like there’s much there” over Hillary Clinton’s emails now that the attorney general is briefing the president on a case involving him, former RNC chair Michael Steele explained “that president was not their president.”

“President Trump is and has been everything Republicans thought Barack Obama would be and would do,” Steele added. “The only collusion here is colluding on –”

“This is actual collusion!” Todd shouted back. “In case you’re wondering what does collusion look like, it looks like the attorney general’s lawyers briefing the president before Congress or the public.”
