Lawrence O’Donnell Blasts CNN Over Jason Miller: Why Did They Pay Him To Lie Everyday?
Following allegations that he secretly slipped an abortion pill into his pregnant mistress’s beverage and induced an abortion and nearly caused her death, former Trump campaign advisor Jason Miller announced on Twitter that he had “decided to step away” from his position as CNN political commentator. CNN would later confirm that Miller was no longer with the network.
This morning, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell took some pointed shots at the rival network for having Miller on their payroll in the first place, asking why they paid him to “lie everyday in defense of Trump.”
Why did CNN pay him to lie everyday in defense of Trump? Why does CNN believe the audience needs to hear lying defenders of Trump? Why? https://t.co/16FaBj0N8U

“Why does CNN believe the audience needs to hear lying defenders of Trump? Why?” O’Donnell added in his tweet.
CNN has taken some heat recently over the number of ex-Trump aides and advisors it employs that are bound by non-disclosure agreements, preventing them from publicly criticizing the president. Media experts have labeled this “journalistic malpractice” and that it is “unethical” to provide them paid commentator roles.
Miller has vehemently denied the allegations against him, which surfaced in a court filing by AJ Delgado in the heated custody battle between the two and was first reported by Splinter. The ex-Trump flak says there’s “no validity” to the accusations that he drugged a stripper he had an affair with in 2012 in order to terminate her pregnancy, adding that he will clear his name in the matter and hold Delgado and Splinter “legally accountable.”
