ISIS Leader: Donald Trump Is A ‘Complete Maniac’ Who Will Help Us Recruit Fighters
During the presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton warned that Donald Trump was doing ISIS’ work for them. Now a senior ISIS commander has said Trump’s victory will embolden the Islamic terrorists’ campaign. ISIS leaders and other extremists have welcomed Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric.
Abu Omar Khorasani, an ISIS commander in Afghanistan, called Trump a ‘complete maniac’ and claimed his election will only help ISIS. Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States was welcomed by ISIS, who believe Trump’s attacks on Muslims will radicalize more Muslims in the US and abroad.
“This guy is a complete maniac. His utter hate towards Muslims will make our job much easier because we can recruit thousands,” Khorasani said. “Our leaders were closely following the US election but it was unexpected that the Americans will dig their own graves and they did so.”
Khorasani’s claims echo what other Islamic leaders and some security analysts said during Trump’s campaign. Trump’s attacks on a Muslim Gold Star family and his claims that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are the ‘founders of ISIS’ emboldened Islamic militants.
Trump claimed he would ‘bomb the shit out of ISIS’ if he won the election but has not outlined a plan to defeat the terrorist organisation. ISIS’ influence has diminished in the last few months as Iraqi and Syrian forces have attacked territory they control.
