Ben Carson: Muslims Invited To State Of The Union Aren’t “Buddy Buddies Of Ours”
During a Tuesday morning appearance on CNN’s New Day, pretend GOP Presidential candidate Ben Carson went out of his way to describe Muslim-Americans as both anti-American and not friends of real red-blooded God-fearing ‘Muricans. This was a continuation of his stance that Muslims can’t possibly be part of this nation’s society, at least not in any kind of real way, meaning they can’t hold the highest office in the land and they constantly have to tell everyone that they don’t believe in any of the tenets of their own religion.
Apparently, what has the narcoleptic stabber’s hackles up is the news that two House Democrats are bringing representatives of the Council on American-Islamic Relations to Tuesday night’s State of the Union address. Responding to Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison’s request of lawmakers to bring Muslim-Americans as guests to the SOTU as a response to anti-Muslim rhetoric from the right, Representatives Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) and Alcee Hastings (D-FL) have invited officials from their local chapters of CAIR.
In Carson’s mind, these two Congresspeople are exposing Capitol Hill to THE TERRORISMS and allowing our enemies to continue their jihad. And, at the very least, they aren’t our “buddy buddies.”
“They have done things that are clearly, you know, not pro-American,” Carson reasonably explained. “These are people who I have called for an investigation of. We can’t now sit there and say these are buddy buddies of ours, let’s go ahead and investigate the thing.”
“If they are our buddies, let’s put that clearly out there,” the good doctor continued. “And if they’re not our buddies, let’s not be giving them access to the ability to further carry on what they call a civilization jihad and to change us from a Judeo-Christian foundation to a Muslim foundation. We have got to be smarter than that.”
Do adults even talk like this? Especially ones who are supposedly running for the highest office in the land?
Anyway, Carson has had a hard-on for CAIR for quite a while now. Last month, he called for an investigation of the advocacy group because he suspected they are funding and organizing terrorist attacks. Because, y’know, they’re Muslim and all. This was probably his way to try to get some of that sweet, sweet media attention that Trump got after his Muslim ban.
