Trump Calls for Boycott of Goodyear Tires – A Major Employer in Several Swing States
President Donald Trump has called on his supporters to boycott Goodyear tires following a segment on Fox News Wednesday morning which slammed the company for a diversity training slide describing acceptable and unacceptable attire.
The company apparently instituted a ‘no tolerance’ policy for items such as MAGA hats but deemed Black Lives Matter clothing to be acceptable.

Some time after the segment aired, Trump took to Twitter to call for a boycott.
“Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES – They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS,” he wrote.
Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES – They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!).

As many were quick to point out, including CBS News political correspondent Ed O’Keefe, Goodyear is an important employer in several swing states, including Ohio – once considered a bellwether in presidential elections and possibly in play this year.
The company employs people in 12 states, including North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia, Texas and, of course, Ohio.
