Brian Kilmeade: Biden Is Basically Saying He’ll Be a One Term President ‘If That’
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade claimed on Tuesday that former Vice President Joe Biden has all but admitted he’ll only serve on term. In a bizarre turn, the Fox & Friends host even suggested that the Democrat wouldn’t serve the full four years.
Kilmeade made the comments amid speculation about Biden’s running mate. He has said he’ll choose a woman but beyond that the choice is far from clear.
“The vice presidential stakes are the most interesting, I find,” Kilmeade said. “Who’s gonna be the running mate, who’s gonna be at the top of the ticket and what role do they play? Especially now.”
“I believe this is the most important number two pick that I can remember in my lifetime. At 77 Joe Biden tells everybody I’m transitional candidate. So basically telling everyone I’m a one termer, if that.”
“So who’s gonna be his number two pick? Can he pick somebody he barely knows? Can he pick somebody who doesn’t have a national profile or national experience on the biggest stage?”
There was some suggestion that Biden will refuse to run for a second term if elected, but the campaign dampened those claims. Kilmeade’s suggestion that Biden won’t serve a full term isn’t supported by any reporting and appears to be another attempt to highlight his age, though he’s not much older than President Donald Trump.
