Fox’s Brian Kilmeade: Trump’s Mission Statement is ‘Discipline’
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade praised President Donald Trump on Friday for showing discipline in the face of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Trump announced yesterday that the Florida portion of the Republican National Convention would be cancelled.
Though the President’s critics and many who’ve worked closely with him believe he has a total lack of discipline, the Fox & Friends host had different ideas.
“It’s pretty clear, too,” Kilmeade said. “The President’sgot this mission statement now. It’s gonna be discipline. Attacking the virus.”
“The discipline he showed in 2016 from September to November, he’s doing it now with the virus and law and order. And we’re seeing it every day. And this is another example in my humble opinion.”
Kilmeade then moved on to Trump’s repeated insistence that schools reopen in defiance of medical expert opinion – a stark contrast to the discipline apparently on display earlier.
“Now, he also talked yesterday in his press conference about the need to reopen schools, not because he wants them open, but because of the health and well-being of the kids. And knowing that the virus is very limited threat when it comes to children and it needs to be handled when it comes to teachers, there is a downside and that’s kids aren’t gonna learn and their productivity is going to be curtailed let alone the social distancing and what it does to kids. ”
