Watch: Joe Scarborough Is Astonished Trump Is Bragging About Passing an Alzheimer’s Test
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough seemed genuinely astonished and disturbed on Monday that President Donald Trump is continuing to brag about passing a simple cognitive exam. Scarborough returned to Morning Joe after a brief absence.
Trump challenged Fox News’ host Chris Wallace to take the test during an interview on Sunday and claimed former Vice President Joe Biden wouldn’t be able to answer the last few questions. As Scarborough explained, the test is used to identify cognitive impairment.
“I had to look at this test again because this isn’t the first time the President has actually bragged about passing an Alzheimer’s test,” Scarborough said.
“This is for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s, they give them this test and here we have the man running the most challenging job in government, not only in this country but probably anywhere across the world, bragging about being able to identify a lion, a camel, and he says the last questions are tough, really tough.”
Scarborough was looking at a sample test on his phone while it was also displayed on screen.
“The subject has to repeat them in the four word order these numbers, 2, 1, 8, 5, 4. Now here are three numbers you have to repeat backwards 7, 4, 2. 2, 4, 7. Here’s a really – Here’s a really tough one, too. Draw a clock for 10 past 11.”
“Donald Trump is bragging to Chris Wallace that he can draw a clock,” Scarborough said.
