Trump Suggests It’s Good He Plays Golf Instead of Working Out ‘to a Point of Exhaustion’
President Donald Trump defended his golfing on Sunday by suggesting that it’s better than exercising to the point of exhaustion. Trump took to Twitter amid criticism of the many hours he’s spent on the golf course and his false claim that Barack Obama played more often.
“I know many in business and politics that work out endlessly, in some cases to a point of exhaustion. It is their number one passion in life, but nobody complains,” Trump said.

“My ‘exercise’ is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf.”
“Obama played more and much longer rounds, no problem,” he went on.
Former President Obama played significantly less golf while in the White House, though this didn’t stop Trump criticizing him for it at the time.
“When I play, Fake News CNN, and others, park themselves anywhere they can to get a picture, then scream ‘President Trump is playing golf.’ Actually, I play VERY fast, get a lot of work done on the golf course, and also get a ‘tiny’ bit of exercise. Not bad!”
