‘Fox & Friends’: Twitter Has ‘Folded to the Left’ by Fact Checking Trump
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has surrendered to the left, according to Fox & Friends on Wednesday. The Fox News hosts and guest Charles Payne were not happy that Twitter has labelled some of President Donald Trump’s tweets that contain falsehoods about mail-in ballots.
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt introduced Payne, who is the host of Making Money and an occasional contributor to the Fox News morning show.
“Before you react, I want to show you this,” Earhardt said. “This is the front cover of The New York Post. It says tweet fight. President furious as Twitter labels him fake news. Obviously turning point for Twitter obviously fact-checked or put one of these labels on his tweet.”
“But who’s fact checking the fact checkers because there have been trouble with these paper ballots. That’s been proven.”
There is no evidence that mail-in ballots lead to greater levels of voter fraud. In fact, they may be a more secure way to vote.
“Oh, yeah. And mail fraud only goes back 100 years in this country,” Payne said. “The notion that it’s impossible. that this is beyond the Pale, that the President is off his rocker. How can there be fraud in the voting system? It’s just ridiculous.”
“Jack [Dorsey] has opened up a can of worms but let’s face it, he’s folded to the left. And they’ve been pressuring him for weeks, for months but particularly recently. Get rid of Trump’s Twitter account. I think he found a way to try to assuage their anger but all he has done is open a can of worms.”
Payne continued to attack Twitter in the same way that conservatives have taken aim at social media for several years now. More right-wing criticism of Dorsey can be expected in the coming days.
