Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Suggests Muslims Should ‘Take Your Anger Out’ on China
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade appeared to suggest on Friday that Muslims should concentrated their ‘anger’ on China rather than the U.S. The Fox & Friends host was responding to a report about a shooter at a naval base in Texas which noted that one of the suspects had been in contact with Islamic terrorist group Al Qaeda.
“It’s noteworthy, too, that these attacks are taking out our military bases in our homeland while we still have activity in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Kilmeade said.
“Now, look, we’re going to get more details about this and find out about his connections and communications. The FBI, I know, does a tremendous job on a daily basis. But I think what usually comes out after this is they have this guy on radar.”
“Especially by the fact that on social media they know he has been sympathetic to Al Qaeda/ISIS. And I’ll add something else. Hey, Islamic world. We’re not the bad guys. If you are actually gonna take your anger out at anyone, there is a country called China who has taken a million innocent Muslims and put them in what looks like a concentration camp.”
Kilmeade is referring to camps in Xinjiang where ethnic Uighur Muslims are being held by the Chinese state. The situation has been widely condemned. As some were quick to point out, Kilmeade’s comments approach encouraging terrorist acts against China.
“We’re out there trying to provide them opportunities and try to keep warring factions apart. I think at some point they have to realize we are not the bad guys,” Kilmeade said.
