Fox’s Andrew Napolitano: What If Masks Don’t Protect Us from Coronavirus?
Fox News’ senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano questioned whether masks work and if the experts are wrong about treatment on Thursday. Napolitano spoke to Fox & Friends about his new op-ed, which takes an ‘only asking questions’ approach to Coronavirus.
“What if they have the medicine wrong?” Napolitano said. “What if the masks that we’re all wearing don’t stop Covid-19? What if by staying home week after week and now into our second month we’re actually weakening our immunity rather than strengthening it?
“The purpose of the article is to prod the government and prod people into realizing enough is enough,” he said.
“What if we’d be happier if we took care of ourselves rather than the government taking care of us? What if, to a barber or a sales clerk, a barbershop or a retail store is essential?”
“What if the government has no business deciding what’s essential and what isn’t essential? What if we made those decisions ourselves?”
Napolitano has taken a strong libertarian stance against lockdowns and he’s made several appearances on Fox News arguing that they’re unlawful and unconstitutional. His comments on Thursday will be interpreted by some as grossly irresponsible.
