Nancy Pelosi Calls Trump ‘Morbidly Obese’ as He Reveals He’s Taking Hydroxychloroquine
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi reacted to President Donald Trump’s revelation that he’s been taking hydroxychlorquine. The President had hyped the drug as a treatment for Coronavirus despite the fact medical experts warned it was untested and could be dangerous.
Pelosi told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that she worried about Trump taking the drug because of his weight.
“He’s our president, and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and his, shall we say, weight group,” Pelosi said.
“I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group, and in his, shall we say, weight group: ‘Morbidly obese,’ they say,” says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Pres. “Morbidly obese, they say,” the Speaker explained.
This isn’t the first time that Pelosi has highlighted Trump’s health issues and she may have a point about his weight. The President has consistently given unrealistic numbers for his height and weight that critics believe is an attempt to mask his Body Mass Index (BMI).
The Democratic leader in the Senate, Chuck Schumer, speculated that Trump was lying about taking the drug.
“Maybe he’s really not taking it because the president lies about things characteristically,” Schumer said.
“I don’t know whether he is taking it or not. I know him saying he is taking it, whether he is or not, is reckless, reckless, reckless.”
