Fox’s Brian Kilmeade: Dr. Fauci Isn’t Thinking About ‘What Damage He’s Doing’ to the Economy
Fox News Brian Kilmeade blamed Dr. Anthony Fauci for the economic cost of Coronavirus on Wednesday. Speaking to Dr. Marc Siegel, the Fox & Friends host blasted Fauci for not considering the effects of his advice on Covid-19 measures.
“One of the unique things about you is you understand the economic and yet you’re in the medical field,” Kilmeade told Siegel
“Dr. Fauci – every time he talks you can hear the stock market fall. I don’t think he’s really factoring in what damage he’s doing. Look at South Carolina, look Florida, look at Georgia. Why doesn’t focus on what’s going right there despite his warnings that’s going — that’s going on the right track and then you look at something like Los Angeles where they say we will see new August.”
“And a college system that they say we are not even gonna try to open it up in the fall. There has got to be a logic there because we can’t exist in lockdown. Why do you see it and why do so few others see it in the medical field not see it?”
Siegel, who is a Fox News medical contributor, agreed that colleges should open in the fall for economic reasons. However, Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt came to Dr. Fauci’s defense and suggested economic decisions were on Trump.
“You know when I listen to Fauci, I take it and I think the President listens to these healthcare workers and he listens to the economists. He’s trying to factor in everything,” Earhardt said.
“So when he asks Fauci something, that’s not the end all be all as Rand Paul was talking about yesterday. He’s trying to look out for everyone’s best interest as a medical expert and then the President can use that information to make decisions going forward. But he’s not the president. The President is gonna make the ultimate decision.”
