Joe Scarborough Calls Trump a ‘Libtard’: ‘Turn Off the Television’
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough mocked Republican opposition to Coronavirus restrictions on Tuesday by pointing out President Donald Trump had issued the guidelines. The Morning Joe host used the term ‘libtard’ to chide those arguing against the measures.
“The thing is, what Republicans need to be careful about, is that before they start attacking the libtards, start attacking with conspiracy theories, Dr. Fauci because of his testimony, they need to understand this,” Scarborough said.
He then read from the White House guidelines on reopening.
“Who was the libtard that wrote up these guidelines, that approved the guidelines and announced them to America?” he asked. “Donald J. Trump”
Scarborough was then told that Trump had tweeted about him while Morning Joe was broadcasting. The President once again promoted a conspiracy theory that Scarborough was involved in the death of a staffer when he was in Congress.
“When will they open a Cold Case on the Psycho Joe Scarborough matter in Florida. Did he get away with murder? Some people think so,” Trump had tweeted.
“Turn off the television, and why don’t you start working, OK?” Scarborough said. “You do your job, we’ll do ours. America will be much better off for that. Just go. Turn off the TV, Donald.”
