Fox’s Brian Kilmeade: Americans Need ‘The Military Mindset’ to Defeat ‘Enemy’ of Coronavirus
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade claimed that what Americans need is a military approach to fighting Covid-19. The Fox & Friends host said that the country had little choice but to reopen the economy and fight Coronavirus. He made the remarks as deaths approach 80,000.
“Seventy-eight thousand are dead. We understand how many got the virus and will. I get it,” Kilmeade said.
“But at the same time, can you get the military mindset with the masses of ‘Take on the enemy because we have no choice? Sitting on the sidelines will destroy the country.'”

“How do you get the military mindset for the everyday American?” Kilmeade asked Pete Hegseth.
“The military mindset is a patriotic mindset,” Hegseth said. “It’s what forged and founded this country. It is courage.”
Hegseth went on to say that the economy should reopen. Medical advice says social distancing and closures should remain in place. The disease is also not a military opponent with a political agenda. Its only goal is to propagate, but President Donald Trump has used similar martial language.
