Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Praises Trump’s ‘Best Press Conference’, ‘Most Informative Press Conference’
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade lavished praise on President Donald Trump’s press conference on Wednesday. The Fox & Friends host waxed lyrical about Trump’s Tuesday Coronavirus press briefing despite the various lies the President told.
“Yesterday was the best press conference, and the most informative press conference, the calmest press conference,” Kilmeade said.
“It was like a mature press conference. Nobody was playing petty,” Kilmeade said.
A CNN fact check outlined several untruths the President made during the press conference Kilmeade praised so effusively. On Wednesday morning, as Fox & Friends was on the air, Trump reiterated a lie about Mexican soldiers on the southern border on his Twitter account.
“I will be signing my Executive Order prohibiting immigration into our Country today,” Trump said. “In the meantime, even without this order, our Southern Border, aided substantially by the 170 miles of new Border Wall & 27,000 Mexican soldiers, is very tight – including for human trafficking!”

There are around 15,000 Mexican troops on the U.S. border with others posted at Mexico’s southern border. Doubling down on misleading statements is not unusual for the President. His press briefings have been filled with such comments.
