Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Wonders If Kim Jong-un Has Coronavirus
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade speculated on Tuesday that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un might have Coronavirus. The scion of the Kim dynasty may be gravely ill, according to media reports this morning, though there is little verifiable evidence available.
The Fox & Friends host explained that Kim, who is reportedly 36-years-old, is 80 pounds overweight and a heavy smoker.
“Also, think about this. We’re in the middle of a Coronavirus and you look at somebody with underlying conditions, smokers we know are more susceptible to this respiratory disease,” Kilmeade said.
Kim reportedly had heart surgery and some anonymous U.S. government officials suggest he is gravely ill. There has been no indication that he’s suffering from Covid-19.
“We don’t have any information but logic tells you they have a problem over there with no, really, healthcare system. You wonder if this is somehow related but right now it’s all speculation.”
“The South Korean currency has weakened as a result of this news,” co-host Ainsley Earhardt said.
“And you’re right, there are reports that he is a heavy drinker and heavy smoker. What’s interesting, we don’t know even his exact age. They say he is in his 30’s. He’s very young. We’re not correlating this with Corona because we don’t have that information. This news is developing and we will continue to report on.”
It is not yet possible to be certain what the situation in North Korea is. False information often comes out of the secretive country and U.S. and South Korean authorities don’t appear to agree on Kim’s condition.
