Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade: Trump Has ‘Been Working About 22 Hours a Day’
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade made an extraordinary and unprompted claim about President Donald Trump on Monday. The President is due to appear on Fox & Friends at 8am ET but before his scheduled call, Kilmeade praised his hard work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“There’s already been 74,000 New Yorkers who have volunteered to help out. Amazing,” Kilmeade said.
“There are over 143,000 cases in the U.S. More than 2500 people have passed away.”
“In one hour the President will be joining us. He’s been working about 22 hours a day,” Kilmeade said.
There is little evidence that Trump has been working anything like 22 hours a day. The President has been widely criticized for his response to the crisis. On Sunday, Trump was tweeting about his ratings rather than Coronavirus deaths.
Will be interviewed on @foxandfriends at 7:55 A.M. USA STRONG!

Trump usually uses his calls with Fox & Friends to rail against his perceived critics and talk about whatever is on his mind. The hosts often find it difficult to get him to listen to questions and to end the call. Commercials are often not possible during Trump’s Fox interviews.
