Jill Biden Says Lindsey Graham Was ‘Great Friend’: ‘I Don’t Know What Happened to Lindsey’
Jill Biden has said that Senator Lindsey Graham has changed and that his negative comments about her husband, former Vice President Joe Biden, have been difficult for her. The South Carolina Republican has made many statements about Biden in recent months as part of his defense of President Donald Trump.
“You know, Lindsey… I don’t know what happened to Lindsey,” Biden told CNN’s John Berman.
“We used to be great friends and friends with John McCain. I mean, we traveled the world together with the foreign relations committee. We’ve had dinner. And now he’s changed.”
Berman asked Biden if she still considered Graham a friend.
"We used to be great friends… And now he's changed," says Jill Biden, wife of Joe Biden, about Sen. Lindsey Graham's stance on the impeachment trial. "It's hard when you consider somebody a friend and they've said so many negative things. That's been a little hurtful." pic.twitter.com/tjR1JsFrDJ

“It’s hard when you consider somebody a friend and they’ve said so many negative things,” Biden said. “That’s been a little hurtful.”
Biden laughed at the idea that Vice President Biden’s son, Hunter, should be called before a Senate committee.
“Hunter has done nothing wrong,” she said. “Why would Hunter be called? Donald Trump should be before that committee.”
