‘Fox & Friends’ Guest: Impeachment Is a Choice Between ‘Liberty or Slavery’
A guest on Fox & Friends took the novel approach of smearing the modern Democratic Party as pro-slavery as he criticized the impeachment of President Donald Trump on Thursday. Marc Little received no push back from Fox News’ Pete Hegseth as he outlined how Democrats support socialism and essentially slavery.
Little was brought on to discuss the decline in food stamp use. The segment did not focus on the Trump administration’s decision to kick people off the program.
“Well, it’s happening, Pete, because Trump-onomics works. The American report card say we’re doing well. The work ethic has been restored. And while the Democrats, the party of slavery, went low with their impeachment yesterday, the American workers went high and they came off of food stamps and they’re back to work.”
Little continued to associate Democrats with slavery and warned that impeachment gave the country a stark choice.
“I gotta tell you it’s a frightening thing,” Little said. “The reality is is that we’ve got two things happening in America. We have one side that wants liberty and freedom, and limited government. And the other side that wants just the opposite. They want the nanny state to take care of the family. They want to control our lives and you have to choose. We’re in the middle right now. We saw it last night at the impeachment choosing liberty or slavery. ”
Attacking Democrats as a pro-slavery party is a tired right-wing talking point and does nothing to defend Trump on the substance of his actions.
