Joe Scarborough Blasts Melania’s ‘Faux Outrage’ About Barron: Trump ‘Called Me a Murderer’
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough was not impressed at the conservative outrage about an impeachment witness mentioning President Donald Trump’s son, Barron. While First Lady Melania Trump and other Trump supporters have made much of it, Scarborough saw a clear hypocrisy.
“Again, we all agree — hate to see it when people bring it up. I hated to see it when they bring up Amy Carter or when they bring up one of the Carter kids,” Scarborough said.
“Some horrible things were said about Chelsea Clinton. Horrible things said about Chelsea Clinton when she was younger. The Bush twins, I think they had some pictures of them from college that Mom and Dad would have preferred didn’t get out.”
“And you sit there looking at that time going, come on, why did you publish that?” Scarborough said. “That was really out of bounds. I get all this. But, again there are was a word play. She shouldn’t have done it. Just stay away.”
“But at the same time the faux outrage coming from people who – I mean, the guy has basically called me a murderer. I didn’t hear Melania say don’t do that?”
Trump has repeatedly attacked Scarborough and his wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski as their criticism of him intensified. Scarborough is specifically referring to Trump’s suggestion that he murdered an intern.
