Fox’s Gregg Jarrett: ‘Somebody Else’ Could Have Used Devin Nunes’ Phone to Call Giuliani, Lev Parnas
Fox News’ legal analyst Gregg Jarrett has claimed that somebody else may have used Republican Congressman Devin Nunes’ phone to call Rudy Giuliani and Lev Parnas. Nunes’ call records feature in the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment report.
The report shows that Nunes had phone calls with Giuliani, who was working on gathering damaging information about former Vice President Joe Biden, and Lev Parnas, an indicted businessman who was helping Giuliani. Nunes’ calls records also show communications with the White House.
On Fox & Friends on Wednesday, however, Jarrett suggested there was no way to know if Nunes made the calls.
“We just don’t know,” Jarrett said. “We don’t know the details. In fact, it’s a call log. Does that mean that Devin Nunes was actually on the call or somebody else? And we don’t know the import of it. You know, frankly, I don’t trust Adam Schiff. He has a long and distinguished track record of deception and lies.”
“I lay it out in my book. He lied about the dossier. He lied about Bruce Ohr. He lied about evidence of collusion. And, of course, we saw him lie at the beginning, the first hearing into impeachment in which he made up a narrative that didn’t exist.”
Nunes is now strongly implicated in the very matters he was tasked with investigating as Ranking Member of the House Intel Committee. Jarrett’s attempt to obfuscate and hint at a conspiracy is unlikely to do Nunes or the President much good.
