Guy Snodgrass Denies He’s the Anonymous Writer of Trump Book ‘A Warning’
Guy Snodgrass has said he is not the author of A Warning – the book by about the Trump administration written by an anonymous writer. There had been some speculation that Snodgrass was the one responsible for the book and his failure to deny it on Fox News on Monday led to intensified scrutiny.
Snodgrass was speech writer for former Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis and was therefore in the White House but on CNN’s New Day on Tuesday he flatly denied he had written the book. He was appearing to promote his actual book, Holding the Line.
“There’s been lots of speculation that it is you. What is your answer? Are you the writer?” CNN’s Alisyn Camerota asked.
“No, I’m not the writer,” Snodgrass said.
He went on to explain why he hadn’t answered the question directly on Fox News.
“I got asked that, evidently that news popped before I went on to a different television. They asked me the question, I kind of batted it away,” Snodgrass said.
“To put it to rest, no, I’m not the author of A Warning. I’m not the anonymous op-ed writer.”
If Snodgrass’s denial is to genuine, than the real author of A Warning remains unknown.
