Former CIA Officer Tells OANN: Biden Admitted He Was ‘Essentially’ Blackmailing Ukraine
A former CIA officer has told conservative news network OANN that former Vice President Joe Biden has essentially admitted that he blackmailed the government of Ukraine. Brad Johnson, who is the president of Americans for Intelligence Reform, a little-known organization, also said President Trump had done nothing wrong.
Johnson vigorously defended the President while claiming Biden had not only blackmailed Ukraine but openly admitted to it. This is a deliberate misrepresentation of Biden’s role in helping to remove a corrupt prosecutor whom the international community pressured Ukraine to remove.
“We had Joe Biden himself admit that there was quid pro quo going on when he said if you do not fire this prosecutor, then you’re not getting this billion dollar aid,” Johnson said.
Johnson made the extraordinary claim that President ‘is also required to pursue things that … appear to be illegal’ before returning to the subject of Biden’s ‘admission’ of blackmail.
“Well I think in the long run this is a huge problem for Joe Biden as a candidate for president of the United States,” Johnson said.
“I think this is an absolute tempest in a teapot when it comes to President Trump because so clearly he did nothing wrong. It’s all black and white there in the transcript but for Joe Biden, he’s admitted to the fact that he essentially was blackmailing Ukraine.”
OANN (sometimes OAN) is trying to compete with Fox News and runs a strongly pro-Trump editorial line. The network has been accused of sharing false information and Brad Johnson’s claims about Biden largely fall into that category.
