Presidential Candidate Mike Gravel Fundraises After Telling Tucker Carlson to F**k Off
Former senator and current Democratic presidential nominee Mike Gravel is not a fan of Tucker Carlson. To prove it, his campaign sent out a fundraising email on Wednesday afternoon with the less-than-subtle subject line “Fuck Tucker Carlson.”
The reason for the email is that Carlson recently invited Gravel on his show. Gravel’s campaign, which is pushing an anti-war message that would fit right in with Carlson’s persona as a nationalist opposed to foreign interventions, declined. Then they explained why in the fundraising letter:

The letter condemns Fox for its history of “using xenophobia and white supremacy to sell wars.” It also calls Carlson a “white supremacist” who has encouraged “violence against immigrants, people of color, and the political left.” And as Gravel’s campaign repeated in a later tweet, his appearance on Carlson’s show would be a “tacit endorsement” of his views. Or at least lend them some legitimacy:
We’re not going to send Sen. Gravel into a trap to get attacked by a proto-fascist TV host. It’s not worth giving a white nationalist legitimacy and more attention. https://t.co/zEQIdLTByq

Fox News and Carlson himself have been crying for civility in the 2020 campaign. Given their own track record, it seems Gravel’s campaign is not taking them seriously.
