Ann Coulter Blames George Soros For Jussie Smollett Charges Being Dropped

Shortly after it was announced that Chicago prosecutors had dropped all criminal charges against Empire actor Jussie Smollett, conservative media figures went into full meltdown mode. And it didn’t take long for one of right-wing media’s biggest provocateurs to immediately point the finger at conservatives’ favorite boogeyman.

Firing off tweet after tweet following Tuesday’s decision by the State Attorney’s Office to not charge Smollett for filing false police reports for allegedly orchestrating a hate crime attack, far-right author and former Trump bestie Ann Coulter claimed this was all the doing of progressive philanthropist and billionaire George Soros.

“Oh, I see,” Coulter tweeted. “Kim Foxx, the Chicago prosecutor who dropped Jussie Smollett charges was put there by George Soros.”

In another tweet, Coulter added: “We also need the records of George Soros’s donations to prosecutor Kim Foxx and of Smollett family friend Tina Tchen’s phone call to Foxx.”

Coulter also complained that “it’s white privilege to have a fair legal system,” grousing that Foxx, a black female, was told to “go easy” on Smollett, a gay black male, by an Asian-American female.

Furthermore, she specifically said Smollett got off because he is black.

Coulter wasn’t the only prominent conservative media personality to make the Soros connection. Breitbart editor Joel Pollak tweeted that this was “why George Soros donated heavily to DA races.”
